11. Conflict of Ram Singh - 070 with Itself
Ans. Ram Singh had an in-built system of three principles :
the robot will obey his master, the robot will not harm humans; and the robot
will not take harm to self. When he was produced in the court, his master, Prem
Chopra was confident that the robot would never disobey him. He had threatened
Ram Singh that he would defuse him if he revealed any information about stolen
goods. Thus Ram Singh was in conflict. If he revealed the information, he would
disobey his master. And if he did not, he would harm many other people. This
conflict brought Ram Singh's end. He chose to break apart rather than tell a
lie, hurt human beings or become unfaithful.

55. My Memorable day at the Statue of
Unity
Ans.
I visited the Statue of Unity with my parents last week. We went there by our
car. We stayed there in Visamo Hotel. The Statue of Unity is the statue of one
of the most prominent Indian leaders, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is fondly remembered
as the Iron Man of India. Located in the Indian state of Gujarat, it stands
tall at a height of 182 metres. It was Prime Minister Narendra Modi who came up
with the idea of building this huge edifice. Large number of labourers and
architects were employed to construct this statue. PM Modi inaugurated it on
31st October 2018. The date chosen for the inaugural ceremony was special. It
was the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Patel. The statue has been
constructed on a river island of the name Sadhu Bet, which is 3.5 kilometres
downstream of Narmada Dam. It is divided into five zones. Among these, the
public has access to only three zones. The surroundings add to the beauty of
this statue. Statue of Unity has become the pride of the nation within no time.
It is the tallest statue in the world and is attracting numerous tourists from
around the world. Really it was my memorable day at the Statue of Unity.

v Subject: How to improve your English
Dear Hirva,
How are you? What is going on in your life now
a days? I am happy to know that you are doing well in your studies. I agree
with you that you have not done well in English.
Hirva, I am writing this mail to advise you to
listen to English news on TV and read English newspapers every day. This will
help you to improve your vocabulary. Buy a good dictionary that will help you
to know the correct spellings and pronunciation of new words and also
understand their meanings. Try to speak in English as much as possible. Do not
feel shy or be frightened to make mistakes. You will learn from your mistakes.
If possible, select a topic and write a small paragraph expressing your
feelings about it. You may request your teacher to read it and point out your
mistakes.
Give my regards to your parents. I am sure
you will be good in English very soon. All the best.
Yours
lovingly,
Charmi
